Great site to learn more about celestial navigation

Post by gt0163c »

For those who want to study up on their star identification and celestial navigation, this site:http://www.quietbay.net/Science/astronomy/nightsky has an excellent tutorial.

It walks you through identification of Orion, Betelgeuse, the Big Dipper, Polarius and how to find North, Cassiopeia and a general idea of where Jupiter should be,

It's loading a little slow right now (got hit by the Digg effect), but it's a great learning aid/refresher.
