Simulator software?
Just curious, what software has AC been using for the sims over the years? What were they using back in the mid-90's for the Intermediate program back when they had the F-4 and F-16 cockpits? What advancements have been made since then in the simulators? I figure it can only get better as time goes on. I've found one pic on the internet that shows the Mach 3 sims and it looks like they have wall projection for the pilot's view. Very cool!

I cannot answer any of your other questions - there are topics like this elsewhere you may want to check, but I can answer one...
The Mach III sims have two seats (pilot and RIO) and they face projection screens. You also have a computer monitor in front of each person. I thought it was really impresive.

Hawke! Man, I'd almost totally forgotten you! Spanky told me you'd popped up on here. Hope things are well.
Much has changed since you were an Intermediate / Mach III. The old cockpits were replaced with ones engineered by a company called Eagle Interactive. We started the process in 1998 (I actually got to go to California and look at what they were developing). As for the techinical aspects, Spanky would be the best to tell you how they've developed to now. They are in the process of updating the software from what we hear, but the general system in place was pretty much all Spanky's responsibility.
