AC Mach III 13 Day Program

Post by agold4me »

I've never been to AC or SC, but I've been thinking of doing the Aviation Challenge Mach III 13-day program for a while. However, I can't really find any info on it, except from the official site. Could some one please tell me about the 13-day program, especially the whole "spec ops" "Delta Force" etc. aspect. Is that part for real or is it just stupid? How does it, and the rest of the program work, what do you do? I'm just trying to be as informed as possible before I decide to go. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Hab1! :D

It may take a little bit to get a response on this one as i'm not sure if anybody has actually been to AC 13 day yet. Maybe tennisrox014 or Maytag. Either way you will get a response with some info but you might have to wait a few days...

try private messaging McFly. He is a counselor that has been working the 12 day program this summer and could probably give you some good info.

Greetings and Salutations ( Sports Fans )

From : McFly
To : Those interested in the M3-12 Day Program

I can point you in 2 directions:
- the AC Website, featured at www.spacecamp.com ( go to Aviation Challenge )

- 1 800 63 SPACE ( phone number for SC/AC ) get the operator and ask to be patched through to the Aviation Challenge Office.

Due to the sensitive nature of the training and operations schedule of the 12 Day experience, I can not go into great detail, however I can let you know the following things.
- You will get dirty, wet, sweaty and hot
- You will get to take on the role of " Operators "
- You will be up late at night
- You will have a great deal of fun
- You will probably not know what is coming next " Har, Har, har "

Hope this helps, any more questions, just let me know ... ( just post them in the public forum, that way if there are others with the same questions, they might get the answers too. )

Thx,
