Discovery is on the move

Post by Boomerang »

Well after more than 2 years a Space Shuttle is on its way to the launch pad again. As of 2:04 pm est Discovery has begun its long 8 hour trek to pad 39B. The rollover was delayed 2 hours due to cracked insulation foam on a non critical area of the tank that engineers had to evaluate. They believe it won't be an issue due to its location.

Yeah, but watching it on a 36 inch screen is so much better than a 15 inch screen.

i was at the cape on thursday (April 7) because we went to the space center and when i took the bus tour, i got to see the space shuttle, but the bad thing was that it was far away and you could only see the top of the external tank, but is was still really cool :)
