I thought that was kindof cool, but all the kids there were either weekend kids, or EALD, so they didn't really know who we were, so it was kindof pointless and not as exciting as it could have been.

When we went by pathfinder they were getting ready for grad so there were parents watching us. There was also an astrotrek team watching us and the people in the cafeteria.

lol. the teachers were there. and i will always be known as diaper girl to them (and to about 6 nasa officials at the airport)...lol.
i had a lot of stuff in my bag. (and a few too many 'carry-on' things to boot.) i used the majourity of it. it wasn't that bad... i don't have an mp3 player so i had to bring my cds. that took up the largest amount of room and weight. and don't even start with how much you had on under the pressuresuit (why didn't someone tell me i would be wearing all that for about an hour. i would have left more on 'earth')...lol...i bet i can beat you just by the first two layers. lol. just look at the pic of me on danner's site. no, i usually don't look that bad. lyn talked me out of wearing makeup the entire week. plus, i was kinda tired and sick. *sigh*...it was fun. i miss camp. *tear*

At grad for the regular asa they told them about the 24 hour mission that was going on and that they could talk to the "astronauts" on the ISS via a radio. Someone thought that we were really astronauts and was asking how we put contacts on in space. We were in the station laughing and trying to tell this person and she actually though we were real astronauts.

At least for my mission we could spread out. It never felt crowded even with 12 people in station at some times.

I only ever recall using Enterprise for missions. The Intrepid never existed, and the Atlantis was used solely by Academy kids.
How could an EDM take place if the MSs cannot go out in Enterprise's payload bay for their EVA? I'm a bit confused here... I never thought an EDM could occur anywhere BUT Enterprise, Station, and MOCR.
Also, what is the ISS MOCR for? Do they use it for normal EDMs now?

Ah yes allow me to clarify if i can...
We used Atlantis so they could run two EDMs at the same time you see so we had to deal with what we got. Our EVAs took place on the TCF but not in cargo bay because all of the EVAs were different anyway. If I am not mistaken the Enterprise kids did the same EVAs as us, none of which took place in Enterprise Cargo Bay.
They do use ISS mocr for the 6 hour regular EDMs now too. It is based on a rotational schedule (which i think sucks, but you are entitled to your opinion) in which you go from reg Mocr to ISS mocr and back to regular mocr during your EDM while the flight crew does orbiter and station....you will see it will be different but fun...
The ISS mocr, however, at this point is not used for the training missions (alpha, bravo, charlie, and delta)
