Tonight while watching an old JAG episode i flipped over to wheel of fortune and caught the end of them describing one of the prizes. I was suprised to see a picture of the space camp training center in Alabama. Aparent;y one of the prizes tonight was a trip to one of the adult programs for whoever might win it. I didnt catch which program it was since i only saw part of the segment and unfortunately noone won the prize but it was still cool.

They should have an episode of Jeopardy that is all space (like space-related questions-err, I mean answers-, prizes and stuff). I bet most of us would blow any other competitor out of the water, especially the layman. I know people who don't know that they reuse the orbiters.

That would be great althiough i doubt it would ever happen. Maybe you could write them and suggest it.

lol, I would kill to be on Space Jeopardy. I know so much random stuff. The last time i was at camp and we were playing spacebowl, I answered every single question for my team..except for one that the other team beat me to. It was so awesome. I could answer all the questions before they finished them. Oooh that was also the week I got the right stuff award! That was AWESOME! Dave Rockey said (as we were sitting down with aour spacebowl champ t-shirts), "Dont even sit down, Sara. You know you earned it." It was the coolest thing that has ever happened to me at space camp. It was in between that and fighting with a 9 year old over a four square call...he kept yelling INTERFERANCE over and over and i just started laughing...

Boy i'd love to compete against you in space bowl. I was the same way for the mosty part anyway. Everyone says i'm a walking encyclopedia of space knowledge.

I answered most of the questions for my team, too, except for one about rocket fuel (I can never remember the name of those long compounds). The other team got a few questions, but we blew them out.

I've never gotten the right stuff award, though. There was one year where I really though I deserved it too...

Oh, well, I still had fun. I wish I had the cash, though, to go as much as you have. That would really be a blast.

i did a project for chem on the fuels of the shuttle...i answered all those questions and made everyone really confused

Thankfully i finished my finals last week so i dont have to worry about them.

GrRrR..my finals are all next week..well three days of next week, but still it isnt any fun...the AP exams were bad enough, but because Im only a sophomore, I have to take a final too!

Well in college most classes have finals although sometimes you get lucky. The high school i went to if you had an a or a b in a class and hadn't missed but so many days of school you could be exempt from finals. wish it was like that in college.

some of the high schools around here do that, but not ours. See that's the thing with private schools, they're all about college prep. Oh well!

yes unfortunatley only seniors at my school are exempt from finals if they have a certain average. and even that privelage may go away by the time i am a senior

Well i guess i was lucky any grade level could be exempt in my school syatem with the right grades and absences.

Yeah I go to a private school, and everybody takes finals unless you are a senior. It IS all about college prep. They start obsessing over it in 8th grade at my school...

Well i went to privcate school through elementary but couldnt afford it in middle and high school alt6hough i was in college prep courses through high school.

Even though we are a private school the seniors have to take finals too. However, they get out 3 days early.
