Endeavor in Fort Worth, Texas

Post by gt0163c »

I just got back from watching the 747 with the shuttle riding piggyback landing in at Carswell base in Fort Worth, Texas. I work at Lockheed, right across the runway, so it was pretty close and very cool to see.
I'm not sure why it landed here, I haven't seen it come through before.

Unfortunately, no pictures as cameras aren't allowed inside the perimeter fence. But I got to use my binoculars that I keep in my desk for just such an occasion. It definitely was the high point of my day.

That would be cool, but then I wouldn't be able to bring them into the plant. Something about security and classified data and areas and all that.

I hope you took some mental pictures and engraved them into permanent memory so you can experience it over and over again!
