Well, they TRIED to make it adult only. Eventually, the kids got tired of sharing with the old farts and cleared out. :D

When I was at adult ASA last September there was only the ond adult team. There were a couple of youth teams that were there, I think one was a weekend only team. The Hab was pretty much empty and there were no problems with noise. From what I gather, they schedule the adult ASA weeks during slow times for the youth teams, so I wouldn't think there would be too many problems with noise issues. But, if you're light sleeper, it wouldn't hurt to take some ear plugs.

The Hab was silent when my friend and I were there for adult ASA, except for our room/team mate who SNORED!! Really! Loud! After lying in our beds for hours trying to sleep we looked at our watches to see that it was 5 AM and we still hadn't had any sleep. We grabbed our blankets and pillows and slept in the CORRIDOR! (If only for an hour, on the floor, we slept really well.) Yup. The next day they set us up with a room all to ourselves. Yay...

White Noise Generator

Post by Conan »

I have always found the hab to be quite noisy at night and I am a light sleeper. The last time I went, I brought a white-noise generator and it covered almost all of the noise and I and all of my roommates slept better. I highly recommend one. If you can't afford it (they run about $50) a cheap plug in fan will usually do the same thing.
