Schools finally out for summer! 3 months until I'm in 6th grade. Only 1 to Space Camp!

I remember counting down the days and hours till camp.... its definitely worth the wait though!

Well i know i was certainly counting down this time 10 years ago. At the time i had exactly one week before i left for aviation challenge. Though at the time i was a bit nervous going to AC instead of space camp and wasnt really sure what to expect.

My first time going to Space Camp (ASA) was a week after returning from a week-long Girl Guide camp. I was so excited from one camp that the time between the two went by so fast. By the time I unpacked my stuff, did laundry, and packed again, it was time to go to the airport.

My other two wait times though... and especially my latest time when they cancelled my session and I had to wait an extra month for the next one, were unbearable! I think the month leading up to camp is the worst for waiting, but the two days before you leave go by fast because of the excitement and all the packing. It's worth the wait though...

LOL i had a similar experiance in 96 except in reverse. \went to \ac came home hasd a week till scout camp came hom,e from that had another week till i went camping with my then girlfriend's family then came home then 2 weeks till a weekend camping event with boy scouts.

I remember counting down before classes ended for winter break (I went to X-Mas Camp a few times). Then I had to even count down through Christmas cuz I was more excited about camp than the holiday... lol. But the wait was well worth it... I swear I packed so far in advance... and still forgot stuff, lol.

Heck i'm not even going to camp next summer just to one of the alumni reunion weekends and its driving me crazy and i still have a year to go. Is that sad or what? I just hope this year goes by fast heck last summer when i was down there i didnt get to spend alot of time at the camp not nearly as much as i would have liked but even a short visit is great.

Don't forget to take lots of pictures and bring back lots of stories. I know i am and i'm sure others are looking forward to heasring about what Space Camp is like these days. Most of the people here either havent been to camp or like me haven't been to camp in many years mosty of us are older program grads especially recently so we would like to hear about the whole experiance.
