Post by rycho626 »

ok u guys know that when u have a real catual space mission as an astronaught your team designs a pin and you each get one of them. I just received one from STS-40 for my graduation. My uncle knew one of them. Just curious if anyone has ever received/bought one before

By any chance is it the same as the mission patch?

I got a mission pin from the Canadian Space Agency for Chris Hadfield's EVA. It was the prize for a contest I won. I also got a sticker with Chris Hadfield's personal mission patch for the mission, a Canadarm2 frisbee, and a super huge t-shirt.

Otherwise, I have pins from the MER rovers and one or two other missions. Mostly I have mission patches... loads of them... all sewn onto two blankets with my Girl Guides of Canada and Scouts Canada patches and stuff.
