I met four of the Astronaut canidates from the class of 04

When i went to work today imagine my suprise to find the space center was being visited by 4 of the 2004 astronaut class members. They gave a talk answered kids questions then had lunch with a school group who was visiting the center today. I met all 4 of them 3 men and 1 woman including one of the teacher astronauts and one from the Japanese Space agency got autographs from all of them. Very nice group of people very friendly talked about what they had done in training so far and what was coming up.

I heard on CNN that current astronaut classes are being warned they probably wont go into space anytime soon.

Well they seemed optimistic about getting to fly before the shuttle's retirement one commented hed stick around to go to the moon if he can. Also i remember NASA saying a while back they wanted to get the educator astronauts up as soon as possible but that was before the new space vision changed the whole plan for the future of the shuttle so who knows. I got a picture taken with all 4 of them ill put up when i get a copy

Sadly noone has even shown me a copy of the photo yet if i ever get it ill post it.
