You've got a point there. But for me, it was more interesting with more people, since you don't have counselors filling in positions or empty positions. Though, I must admit it was fun to have two counselors as the pilot and commander. They tried to land the orbiter upside down.

I know what you mean...I don't know what possessed me and Siobhan to suggest him as Capcom for the EDM. We just wanted him somewhere where he couldn't mess things up. 'Course, we didn't realize we'd have to listen to him talking all mission long....I don't know who yelled at Ricky more, me or Siobhan.

Then again, some of the time, I yelled at Ricky and there was nothing wrong going on...like when we started our descent, and the Earth kept switching sides on the orbiter....I screamed at Ricky, "Ricky what's going on? If this is your fault, I'm taking this thing and pointing it at Houston!" I had no idea that was supposed to happen since we really didn't get a EDM briefing and I'd only done the AOA landings.

lol... reason he ended up in that position for EDM was so that me and nate could be on station together without him bugging us cuz he didnt fit anywhere else since i turned down the scuba for the EDM and took that position on station... so yall took him for me and nate... lol... thanks... we had a lotta fun in station then  chris, nate, and me deff had too much fun with wilson....

2003 must have been a year of small teams because a lot of people i've talked to that went that year had teams of less than 10 including me. we had 8 that year and ben fleer and becky (used to be baxter can't remember what it is now) were our counselors.

I think there are small teams every year. In 2000 I was on a team of 9 and in 2001 a team of four, including me... yes, its possible. lol

Whoa, 4? How did you guys fill out all those positions? I'm assuming you guys didn't have Station for your EDM...

No, no station. If i remember correctly we were all in orbiter. We filled all the important positions by letting the counselors play. Actually now that i think about it we might have done a brief rotation into the station. Eh i dunno the point is that its possible. :D

Now, why on Earth would you turn down the EDM SCUBA?? It was so much fun while it lasted. What could be cooler than being able to a) talk underwater, b) wear glasses underwater, and c) wear the wicked super-wedgie bubble helmet that weighs a tonne... it was just far too amazing for words.

It's nice to know they still do the EDM SCUBA though, I thought I had ruined it for everyone.

Before Jenni can reply, I'll answer this one in a word . . . Nate . . . the two of them were pretty much joined at the hip, and wanted to be in the same place for the EDM.

 Oh dear... I left my beau at home when I went to Space Camp. Even if he were there, I still wouldn't pass up the SCUBA EVA! (Mind you, I am probably forbidden from trying the SCUBA EVA ever again, but I would beg them to let me try!)

i didnt bring him to camp with me though you guys, i met him there... and since he lives in hawaii and i live in florida, i think thats as far apart as you can get, so i wanted to spend as much time as i could with him, and im glad i passes the scuba up cuz station was so much fun with him... so now i got those memories to hold onto until i can see him again... if only parents would stop being so closed minded...
