Ok as cool as that contest sounds i would like everyone here atleast of high school age to be aware NASA has an oppurtunity to fly student expirements on a sounding rocket to above 99.9% of the atmosphere. It's part of the NSIP program that NASA holds every year. The deadline has passed for this year but anyone who will still be in high school next year may want to consider it. They also have several essay competitions for all grade levels the national winner of which use to recieve a trip to space camp. Don't know if thats still the prize or not though. I've included the website below for anyone intrested to look at. I was a judge for this competition on the regional level a few years ago. thouhg it was only for the essay contestnot the exopirement one. http://www.nsip.net/competitions/spaceflight/index.cfm
