Fourteen more sleeps until I leave! :D

(It's really fifteen nights, but I doubt I will get any sleep the night of 23/24 September due to excitement and having to leave at 04h45!)

Hmmm... Continental Airlines says I am allowed one carry-on item and one personal item such as a CD player, laptop, purse, or camera bag. I wonder how far that could stretch... I have a really big camera bag I could bring to fill with souvenirs and stuff. ;-)

yeah. eald last time i had like 5 bags with me and i stayed in hab2 then had to move my stuff to AC then back to hab1 on the last night. the only bad part about the whole thing actually was attempting to load my suitcases onto the bus. this little mach II kid who thought he was all macho hauled them on for me.

Hehe. You should have seen me trying to get all my crap on the bus this year. I was first in line and like 8 people were behind me watching as i tried to get it up the stairs. It was heavy!

4 days 3 hours 38 minutes until registration begins... but I'm not counting ;-)

I got my 'special' camera film yesterday, some sort of professional grade high definition stuff. It was somewhat expensive, but hey, if it gets me great pictures, it will be worth it in the end.

I like digital and film. I just prefer film more because I have an old SLR camera which is heaps fun to use. I like having control of all the settings: focus, shutter speed, aperature, special effects, etc. If a picture doesn't turn out, then I merely blame myself.

We are also bringing a digital camera and a disposable film camera for anything near water. I have an automatic 35mm camera too. What's with auto focus - I can never get it to work... argh... it had better work this trip... it better... <threatens automatic camera>

I know this is posted somewhere else, but I cannot find it right now...

Flying Houston to Huntsville - which side of the aeroplane do we want to sit on to see the USSRC out our window?

Flying Huntsville to Houston - which side of the aeroplane do we want to sit on to see the USSRC out our windows?

I am going to try and arrange our seat assignment tonight online. Otherwise I will be really nice to the check-in people or the people sitting in the seats I want. ;-)

Thanks again everyone!

I KNOW you had more than that at the bottom of the hab. Unless you're not counting something you checked?

I leave for the airport in about 20 hours. This is it mates... if you have last things to say before I leave, post them now. Otherwise, I will tell you all about it when I return on 04 October.

Oh, and what side of the plane did we want? I guess I could always ask the pilot, but you guys know just as well.

Nice photo Vincent! Hopefully I will get one similar to that.

Well, this is it... my ride to the ariport will be arriving in eight minutes.

The next time you will hear from me will either be from a computer lab at camp or my computer at home when I return. See you later!

I am having the time of my life!!

We, as adults, are given free roam of the campus. Which means we raided the cafeteria for ice creme, and are now in the computer lab.

Any-who, today was awesome. I will tell you all about it when I return.

Later!

I have a whole 5 minutes before our next activity begins... so I have to make this quick.

Once again, the week is going better than I could have ever imagined! My friend and I have made good friends with the other two 'young' campers. Together we have done a lot of things.

Any-who... the SCUBA was tremendously fun. We did the normal SCUBA stuff, but in the end Dana told me I would be the primary diver for the EDM and Dave, one of the 'young' trainees will be my backup diver and ground support. How cool is that?

We have a really wicked rocket and an awesome robot. Let's hope we reign victorious again so we can have an excuse to make some more banana splits. It's a silly story, but I'll tell you more later.

Oh, and we never got any PDA lecture, which makes things fun. Not in a sick sense, but just how we can make funny jokes and do silly things without getting in trouble. It's awesome. Once again, I'll tell you more later. I cannot tell you everything because of the Christmas camp, but the 8-days are definitely worth it.

(However, one suggestion of mine is that instead of two one-hour missions combined it should be a single two-hour mission. The whole crew exchange thing makes things way to rushed and far more complicated than it needs to be.)

I am signing out now. See you when I get back!
