Party Songs
Having a club in my basement has really made me look for songs that really go over well at parties.
What are your favorite party songs?

"Y-M-C-A" by the Village People
Why, because I (a) know the words; and (b) know the actions. I'm a *horrid* dancer, but this song will get me on the dance floor. I can also do the Jive, the Macarena, and Cadillac Ranch too... how exciting... just don't ask me to dance to anything else.
PS - What's with the club in the basement? I don't get it...

Nice, YMCA. I try to avoid the Village People.
and Sam, that's the cha-cha slide. Which is really also annoying, but it gives instructions, and that makes the bad dancers happy.
I literally have turned my unfurnished basement, or at least half of it, into a dance club.

I love the cha cha slide! I had to get up at 3 am at relay for life simply because it was playing and i wanted to watch 5 people do it lol. I of course never dance its great fun to watch. I personally enjoy the song Sandstorm by Darude though i'm not sure if thats the sort of music you are looking for at the moment. I'm sure i know of others.....

Ah, Sandstorm. The only techno I ever hear at my school dances. It's kinda sad, really, because everyone's like "Sandstorm is awesome!" and then they don't bother checking out any more techno.

Other songs i think are cool:
Basement Jaxx- Where's ur head at? (i imagine you will say its kinda like sandstorm lol, but still i like it)
Daft punk- one more time (at least but thier other stuff is good too)
Wise guys- Start the commotion
Massive attack- teardrop (other stuff is good too)
The crystal method is an awesome group.
Finished symphony- its off of the first ssx for ps2. its the song in the untracked level and it rocks!
Random techno mixes of non-techno songs.
and depending on what kind of party it is Dragula by rob zombie could work too lol.
So thats my other 2 cents for the night
Though i'm quite sure controversy will come of it
lol

You can just edit your posts.
[s]I'm breaking up with you, Meg! [/s] (that's supposed to be a strikethrough, but apparently Vincent isn't using a version of phpBB that supports strikes, or he didn't install a Mod to support it.)
I love you, Meg!
[s]Ok, well, that'll prove difficult. [/s]
But should I ever need to, I've got an awesome party song, that's also a breakup song, that puts us back ON TOPIC!

Okay, my $.02, Sandstorm is very annoying, they played YMCA after the Lighting won the Cup and I'm still not sure why, the Cha-Cha slide is fun to do with little kids when I'm working a Radio Disney promo, but never outside of that. Dude, a dance club in the basement, how sweet is that?
