Don't feel bad, schools around here do not get out until the last week in June also. Some schools have classes all year! They only get a few weeks off for summer break, then it's back to class again. They get more breaks throughout the year though, two weeks here, two weeks there... It makes more sense than taking two months off in the summer and forgetting everything, doesn't it?

My beau's younger sister nearly went into shock when she found out us "working people" did not get two months off for summer. She will be in for a real surprise when she finishes her schooling!

for a few years, i did a thing called year-round schooling. we went for like six weeks and then two weeks off with a month off during summer. i liked it a lot. you didn't get bored during the summer, wouldn't forget things over the three months, and didn't get to a breaking point.

This is incredible, i go to work from 1pm-8pm and other stuff from then till 11:40, and when i come back, there is 2 whole new pages i need to catch up on.

I probably have all of you beat for school, i was officially done 4 weeks ago. I elected to do a senior project so i dont take exams, and did a 3 week internship with JHU Applied Hpysics Labs. followed by 2 weeks of lazieness. My actual graduation is this saturday

We cannot be exempt from any of our exams unless we have a medical reason that impairs us from writing them. However, at the end of Year 12/Form 6, we have to write government exams worth 50% of the course mark.

It can be tough, but if you have good revision and a good teacher they're not so bad. A little nerve-wrecking though, an exam worth 50% will make anyone a bit nervous. Thus, if for some reason you cannot write the government exams you must write them at a later date. Exam dates are scheduled for January, June, and August.

We also have government exams at the end of Primary 3 and Year 9/Form 3. It's not so bad. We're used to it. It's a good way to make sure everyone's grades are standardised.

Post-Secondary schooling is an entirely different story. I'm glad it is all over. I have better things to do with my evenings than homework and revision!

as long as seniors have an A average in the class, or its an APclass and they took the exam, they are exempt from their exam here. works for me. since so few seniors take exams there are only 2 days for all 8 blocks of exams for seniors.

ethan are you going to RPI?
