Delta Air - the official airline of Space Camp.

Post by meg »

lol, i know this is random. but its incredibly important...

does anybody know what delta gives as their little food thingy?

cause like three weeks ago, i flew to houston on nwa. and they have REALLY good pretzels. now im in pretzel withdrawal. i was bummed to find out i wasn't flying nwa like i usually do. so, it would totally brighten my day to find out they give out the delicious little buttery pretzels like northwest. :D

i think it depends.
on my way from manchester (nh) to atlanta, i got pretzels. woohoo. then nothing from atlanta to huntsville.. then going home huntsville to cincinatti it was a very small plane and i got cookies and pretzels, there were several space campers on the plane and the flight attendant gave these lil boys that were from camp more cookies than 2. they were pretty good cookies too.. then on the way from cincinatti to manchester i got the cookie pretzel deal again, and then were doing a promo thing with wrigleys so i got a free sample of lil breath strips by winterfresh. i think it might depend on the size of the plane or something cuz we flew delta to florida this summer and i cookies one again.

I never recall having any problems with the food on Delta. If im remembering correctly, they gave out little crackers on all of my flights. I never got any "mustard" pretzels, and i did, i think after reading about them i would hand them back.

Thankfully I have never had a terrible airplane food experience. I believe I flew with NorthWest both times before, and we had a great cabin crew for all flights. I was not flying as a registered unaccompanied minor, but they made a huge effort to help me out and get me to where I needed to be to catch my flights. Great stuff!

This time I will be flying Continental Airlines via Houston. Hopefully the flight is long enough to get an in-flight film! (as opposed to several short flights, I get a 4.5 hour flight and a 2 hour flight) Has anyone flown with Continental before? If so, any reviews?

PS - The Delta Airlines' Space Camp promotion only works if you take strictly Delta flights. This means that if any flights are operated by an affiliated company (NWA, Continental, etc.) the discount does not apply. Unfortunately, Delta no longer flies into Edmonton. Thus, no discount for me :-(

I remember that too, it was nice, as you got on the plane there was the whole cart of bag lunches. Those things were really good, but I only got those once :(

I'm sure it also depends on how long your flight is from home to camp. My trip will be just over 7 hours each way. (An improvement over past trips, which took up to 12 hours!) On longer flights you get better food and more snacks.
