I saw it infact i just tried to make a nice long post about it unfortunately for some reason it didnt post and was lost. I thought the tribute was nice and was glad to see the STS-114 crew there. I also heard earlier that the families of the STS-107 crew are at the game as guests of the commissioner of the NFL. The pregame show earlier this afternoon also had a nice tribute to the 107 crew including interviews with the families.

yeah, i saw that one too. im glad they are observing the day. though i do think that if it wasn't houston and if bush wasn't president, then they wouldn't have the same recognition.
im just wondering if a football game is the best place to remember.

I think they would have because in 1996 and a couple of years ago when the super bowl was on the 28th of Jan they did tributes to challenger. The one in 96 was particularly good when they did a flyover of F-16's in the missing man formation and the pilot flying the missing man was the son of Challengers Commander

Even though the tribute right before the game was good i really liked the one during the pregame show. That one almost had me in tears expecially seeing the little bit of the video Rick Husband had made for his children. But atleast they will always have those 16 videos of theior father to remember him by.

i thought that was pretty cool. i was in tears. i know how hard the nasa community is hit during these hard times. nasa village acted as a family and got through, and it looked like they helped the immediate families cope really well. someone told me that some of the astronauts took on the families as a part of their own to help them during this time. i think that's sooo cool! no matter what some people say, nasa is an awesome group of people!

I saw it and I thought that it was really neat! I really wasnt expecting it untill Sara told me it was on tv when I ran out and turned the channel to watch it. My mom cryed, I think I have been desensitized a little by all the media coverage there was in the beggining. But getting back to the point I do think it was appropriate though I still have an uneasy feeling about it for some reason.

Past, present, future.
I think the tribute was so-so. I really think that they should have had a three people rising a flag on the moon to represent the past, present and furture of manned space flight. One person could be Neil Armstrong or another Apollo Astronuat, the commander of the next STS flight and a child in a Space Camp flight suit to symbozlie the future of manned space flight. They should have also had three models, one of a Apollo command module, a model of Challenger and another of Columbia too remind us that Space Flight is dangeous. A latest graphic (comic) novel called Orbiter talks about the problem of not sending man into space. I also think they could have had 7 T-38s (which the Astronaut train in to fly the shuttle) that would fly over the stadtuim when they got to the right to the Statduim they 3 could break from the group while the rest flyed in a missing men formation to symbozlie the lost three flights. I thought Josh Groben's song was ok but NASA already had a song for the tribute of 100 years of flight but was later changed to a memorial for the Columbia crew.
