I went to my first summer session (i think) last summer and it was kinda different. It is really really hot and there are a lot more people. There was always a line for breakfast wrapping around the entire cafeteria and sometimes up to tray return. That and the programs are longer. Sometimes I thought they put useless activities in there to fill up space, but whatever.

I've always liked the off-season better, I've never liked all the people there or the lines for food. Though the winter sessions are shorter, there is less down-time.

This summer though we didn't have a lot of down time. In 2002 though there was lots of down time.

how many teams are usually there during the christmas week? if i do the extended edm that week would be even better than july.
i dont think id enjoy camp as much in the summer, with all the people. it was a lot of fun when we were the only advanced team, and our team wasnt even full. i think we got closer than we woulda with more people. im sure there are some pros about having lots of teams. but i like smaller groups of people cuz its what im used to.

Actually team sizes vary even in the summer. My first year we had the bare minimum of 8 on our team and then last year we had a full team of 18. Of course, during the summer the lines for food do tend to be kind of long, but it really depends on your schedule. The first year we always ate really early or really late so there weren't as many people there and then last year we seemed to always eat with a crowd. I've enjoyed the summer sessions I've been to, but I gues it would be kinda nice with fewer little kids running around.

I originally started going during the off-season but i never had any luck getting a team with more than 9 people. It was still fun but there wasnt enough people to run full missions and such with my smallest group ever being 4 people total. The last three years though i have gone during the summer, while there is a lot more waiting theres also some perks to it as well. I think its just a preferance thing but i like both seasons!

I guess I can't really complain. I love Space Camp no matter what. I just like it when the mosquitos aren't out.

ive always gone to summer till this year. i really like christmas better cause you got to know the other team(s). summer is still tons of fun yet its really hot, really crowded, and really long days. however, there are tons more people to get to know, and more to do. plus, the museum and giftshops are open everyday so you get to spend tons of money...lol, i know a certain counselor wouldn't be happy with that...i have one question...CAN WE GO TO THE GIFTSHOP?!?! lol...sorry!!

either way you win cause you're goin' to space camp!!! :D

I have only been to the summer ones, but the off season sounds neat. We talked about going for spring break once but it didn't work out... My boyfriend has only been during the school year. I also have always wanted to go to the christmas one that would be sweet.
