debris on mars

Post by meg »

hey. has anyone else heard that they found machinery parts and metal cased objects on mars? im a little apprehensive when thinking that could prove life. i mean, we've crashed a few probes and lost others that could have smashed into the surface and left the debris. what do you guys think? is it tangible proof of remnants of life, or is it simply earth's human-made trash?

We have crashed a few probes and I think that could be very plausable. In any case, I don't think that metal debris on Mars is an indication that there was life. I dunno about water on Mars, either. But Beer on Mars, however...

I know what you mean about being out of the loop, so here it is: by the rock climbing wall in the museum is a large map of Mars. Whenever Sara and Hillary walked by, they pointed and shouted "Beer on Mars!" becuase there is a place on Mars named Beer. Someone has a pic of it, but I couldn't find it.

ohhhhh! *light bulb moment*...lol thanks! its not fun not knowing. i mean, kristen can testify, von t was cool, but our group kinda went off on our own and had *slightly* a more 'serious' group.

I discovered that the first known map of Mars was produced in 1830 by Wilhelm Beer and Johann H. von Mädler of Germany. Perhaps this explains why there is Beer on Mars.

so why are people so adamantly saying that the objects on mars prove life? i mean, cause thats what i was thinking too. they wouldn't even allow the possibility that it could just be space junk from us.

Tony said that one day we'll get a message from Mars to stop sending all our junk there.

They're probably is life on Mars and they're pissed. "Hey Mom, look what just landed." "Hey, everyone inside before they see us; it's those Earthlings again..."
