This may be due to the fact that I haven't been on for like 3 days or whatever, but I have no idea what in the world you are talking about.

Tsk, tsk. I'd have thought some of you would have understood it, at least on some level. Well, there are still some that haven't voted. We'll see.

I thought to ask this while at the NASM. I saw a sign that asked the question and I wondered if anyone else on the board would understand what it meant (I'm confident that most visitors to the museum don't appreciate that artifact).

I enjoy being vague, but I get the feeling that people think I'm a moron because of it. But, the poll closes on Wednesday, so get your votes in.

I think it's time he explained it to everyone, and I hope he kept in mind when he first made these posts that this is the "Off Topic" forum and not the "Garbage" or "Waste Management" (if you will) forum.

Yes, I know this is not the Waste Management forum.

I asked this question because I saw at the NASM a sign from a spaceflight flight that said: Are you a turtle? I understood it, but I doubted if anyone around me did. Then, I wondered if any of you would have gotten it (you would if you paid attention to your books by astronauts).

The story: Some American Fighter Pilots were relaxing in an English Pub during World War II when they, somehow, got onto the subject of "Turtles". They described a person who was clean minded, usually minded their own business, but when the need arose, would stick their neck out for themselves and other people in need had the attributes of a turtle. That's how the International Association of Turtles began.

Sounds crazy unless you have been around drinking pilots.

These pilots became the fist members of the International Association of Turtles. Knowing the way of the military they would all be split up soon and they would all actively recruit new members. So they came up with a way for Turtles to identify each other. When anyone would ask a Turtle, "Are you a Turtle?", they would give the secret password.

6 people answered with the secret password, which is based on the assumption that you own a donkey.

Also in the NASM was a membership card for the Intergalactic Turtle Association, which I thought was pretty cool, even if Sara thinks it's stupid. If you want, you can take the Turtle Test, to see if you're Turtle material.

So, now you know, if you didn't already.

They had a lot of cool stuff like that (like Shepard's golf club head). They also have Ivan Ivanovich, who I thought was pretty cool.

I wont lie i had no idea what you were talking about lol but when somebody asks me if im a turtle and one of the options was "you bet your sweet a$$ I am" just feels like the right answer to me lol. Plus if you walked up to me on the street and asked me if i was a turtle you are extremly likely to get a YES!! for an answer i suppose lol. anyway yeah thats pretty cool though.

Well, now you know. If you think that you're turtle material (like I do), then you know the answer.
