NASA officially cleared Gus Grissom of wrongdoing in the sinking of the Liberty Bell 7, though some still think he panicked and blew the hatch. What do you think?

Well i've read several books written by both astronauts and people working in the space program. I've also heard interviews with several mercury astronauts on the subject. And from everything i've heard i have no doubt that grissom did nothing wrong. So i voted no.

I voted no, too. From everything I've seen, I don't think it was his fault.

Glad to see everyone agrees so far. From what I've read and heard, it wasn't his fault.

I feel compelled to believe his testimony, and several experts have reviewed all of the evidence (esp. since the salvation) and decided he was not at fault. I believe them.

Now about that whole conspiracy to kill the Apollo 1 crew...

Someone's been watching a little too much Conspiracy Theory. Like the one where they tried to prove that we never really landed on the moon. That was interesting.

I don't think there was a conspiracy to kill the crew. My brother thinks we didn't land on the Moon only because I say we did. If I say we didn't, he'd do the oppsite. :x AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! :x

Anyway, I have an answer for any "proof" you can give me that shows it was a hoax. The simplist and most popular (especially for my brother, since he doesn't know any others): The flag. If you watch any video of them unfurling the flag, i's pretty obvious that it's made to look like it's waving. Or, you can see video of the working by the flag and see that it's still.

But, I'm getting off topic. I think we can all agree that we believe that Gus was not at fault in the sinking of his craft, the Liberty Bell 7.

When they had to put the flag in the ground they had to twist and turn the flag into the rocky soil so it that how it looks like it is flapping. Here is a offical Nasa report on the Fox moon hoax show

From what I have read I bleive that Gus didn't do it because to blow that hatch he had to puch the button and it would have left a bruise on his hand. I think if it was not his body, such as he bumped it with a elbow, it might have been some combaintion of fatcors that casued it to blow.
