Got $6+ Million? Buy the Buran TODAY!

Space.com has an article they're running today. An LA radio station is auctioning off the Soviet's space shuttle Buran.

The minimum bid is $6 million, and it's not expected to sell, but it'd be a great treasure to own!

I'd love to have it in my back yard as awell. Then every day could be like space camp with a real space shuttle.

It would be fun to see but since we cant see buran the new wing of the smithsonian will have the Enterprise the real space shuttle Enterprise that is on display.

If i had 6 milliuon id probably spend it on other things too but its always fun to dream of owning your own space shuttle.

I'm suprised the Smithsonian or some other museum didnt try to buy it. Russia has 3 of them afterall it wouldn be unheard of for them to seel 1.

You all know the reason the Russians are selling the Buran, right? She, or since it's a Russian vessel we probable should use the "he" which they prefer, was damaged when the hanger collapsed.

Was it this one? Because there were three (at least, I'm pretty sure that's the number I saw) made...and I know one's been sold off already...this one's up for sale...but I don't know about the other one...are you sure it wasn't that third one?

There were 3 Burans built. The one that was damaged in the roof colapse i believe is the one that actually flew. The one they were selling was one of the ones used for testing.
