virus..

does anyone know what to do if a thing from norton comes up saying you have a virus, then it says "action taken: unable to repair file" and you click ok and the lil window just refreshes adn wont go away?

Oh aren't you lucky.....my sister accidentally got that on one of our comps last winter. I forget what we did to fix it though. i just kept clicking ok and told my dad. he's the computer guy in our family (he used to work for ibm as a programmer).

what virus is it?

what you should do is go online to a website like microsoft.com and get a patch for that specific virus. that should fix it.

last year, i had no idea how to go about even understanding a virus. then someone got me a laptop. my moms not really computer literate. so when i got my first virus, i had to figure it out on my own. thanks to bill gates, ive gotten to know how to fix them pretty well by using multiple ways.

now my laptops dead. and i have to use my moms *REALLY* did you get that?!? REALLY!!! slow imac.

I dont like imacs, they are so pretty, but our school has them and are VERY slow.

go to norton.com. i can't remember which virus it is, but the pop up things should tell you the file name which usually has the name of the virus in it.

i killed the virus!!
thanks! it was a download.trojan

dudei used to have an imac..like 2 yeaars ago and it like blew up..like the screen started turing off and on and i was on it and i was like hmm thats odd then it mad a really loud pop and some sparks came out of the plug and it never turned on again. so sad...haha
now i have my own laptop thats much better and i love it.

omg, ours just started that. i go to turn in on and it turns off. then i push the white thingy in the back back in and it sparks then the computer turns on. oh great...i won't have a computer at all!!!
