I must say i am quite sad, last year was my last at camp, at least as a camper, hopefully. And seeing all these posts from people going is making me sad/jealous, i wish there was some way i could go back.

i completely understand. except i don't wanna hear any of your complaining meg, at least you get to back this summer. my parents wouldn't let me go to both camp and mexico. i decided to choose mexico b/c of how it will look on college applications. as much as i love camp, i'm gonna need all the help i can get on those things.

I understand too, but I'll be back in August so...

I wish i was going to a special session though, but alas i must wait until December.

Id just like to point out that completing space camp or aviation challenge programs look pretty good on the college applications too. Most of them know what sort of stuff goes on there (ie leadership and teamwork stuff) and they like to see that kind of stuff

dont you get or used to be able to get some sort of college credit for completing ASA? I don't think AC ever did that though.

The college credit from ASA is dependant on the school. I know my high school was actually willing to count one of my trips as a science credit. There is usually information from your school available on the exact procedure and offices you need to go through to make the generally elective credit from UAH apply to your record at your school.

what's so weird about that? meg and i do it all the time, and what makes it even sadder when we do it is that we're usually talking on aim at the same time.

anyway, i know asa and stuff looks good on college applications too, but this is a 7 week immersion program in mexico, so it's gonna be pretty hard to top.
