How Much Reading?

A co-worker of mine has an 11-year-old son who would love to go to Space Camp. The problem is he has an extremely hard time reading and is in special ed. for all reading subjects. How much reading would he have to do in Space Camp? I haven't seen the latest book they give the kids at that level. Is there any provision made for kids with his difficulties? Thanks!

Sounds like an excellent question for the counselors around here. Any takers?

that isn't a problem really. At least it has never really been for me. As long as the counselor knows about it, it can be handled pretty easy.

The camp mission sheets ask the kids if they like to read out loud or not. If the kids circles "no", he shouldn't have to worry about being given a position that reads a lot.
