Cable

Post by ApolloXI »

There has been lots of great stuff on cable tv about space history and space flight but I can't watch it who else doesn't have cable. One thing I can't wait till college is to be able to watch shows about history and space flight.

I have been fortunate these past 4 years. We used to have "peasant vision" which gave us 3 channels in English and 1 in French. (FYI: "Farmer vision" is just two channels - CBC English and CBC French.) Four years ago my parents got a great deal on a digital satellite dish and we have had it ever since.

When I move out I will be back to the peasant vision I grew up with. I won't be too heart-broken; I barely watch TV as it is... 4 hours a week at most in winter, and no more than 3 hours a week in the summer.

If anything "good" comes on cable network I usually get one of my friends to record it for me. :-P

My family has cable, but I barely watch it. I usually sick to DVDs, it's better programing and there are no ads.

I'm actually addicted to a few shows... four, if I just counted right... 2 are on basic local TV and 2 are on cable... Enterprise and 24 are on free, and Stargate: SG-1 (and soon, Atlantis!) and Andromeda are both on SciFi, which comes with basic cable around here... so yes, I need my cable.
The less time spent in Orion Bay, the better.
