I'm so proud... like a parent watching their kids succeed. I really feel that way. I've been waiting a long time for this. My eyes are getting misty...

Whoa, man... you're insane! In a good way, I suppose... I'm a huge Memphis Grizzlies fan... but back when I lived in Memphis... I never did anything like this... but then again, they never made it to playoffs until this year, and now I don't live there anymore, and they lost anyway...

The series is tied 2-2. There are two or three games left. The series goes until one team wins four games. The next game will be Thursday, 03 June, at 20h00 (Eastern Time) in Florida.

At least you still have a team to cheer on! Of course, I'm all about basketball living in Indiana and all, but the Pacers lost last night which means no more NBA action around here. How sad. Yeah, I know I know that was way off topic and really random.

Stanley Cup Update:

Last night Calgary won in first overtime. The series is now 3-2 in favour of Calgary.

Some 500 Calgary Fans attended the game last night. One of which had a shaved head with painted Flames logos on it, holding the following sign:

Airfare to Tampa Bay: $800
Tickets to Game 5: $200
Explaining head paint to United States Customs: Priceless

The game was also played in Calgary's home stadium on the big screen (and possibly projections onto the ice). The stadium was PACKED and there was a HUGE party to follow their victory.

The next game will be in Calgary on Saturday at 6PM Mountain Time. The Stanley Cup will have its own dressing room for the night, hopefully making it's appearance at the end of the game! ;)

Another funny observation: For any given Calgary game, the stands are packed with fans wearing Calgary Flames jersies. Thus, the stands look like a sea of red. However, until yesterday, Tampa bay had a colourful crowd. They had to hand out t-shirts to the fans so the stadium would look like a sea of white.

lol. its okay benji. im still cheering for the bolts.

there are a multitude of lightning signs around my school. i made some, printed some off from the internet and then covered my school in them. lol.
then, in trig someone was talking about the timberwolves and who was going to win when someones like what about the nhl. then there was a ten min conversation with about 10 students and the teacher about how the bolts were going to win and how awesome the team is....it think there might be a player from the university of minnesota. im not sure...so they were excited. all my friends were like megan likes the lightning. lol. 8)

anyhoo, they have my total faith! :D

Stanley Cup Update:

tonight, tampa bay won in second overtime. the series is tied now, 3-3.

although i couldn't attend, i would loved to have a sign saying...

airfare to calgary: $800
tickets to game 6: $200
seeing the face of calgary fans: priceless.

the game was also played outside of tampa's home stadium on the big screen. the area was completely PACKED and there was a even HUGER party to follow their victory.

the next game will be in tampa bay on monday at 7pm. the stanley cup will have to be returned to tampa with hopes of a permanent home there.

an interesting observation: though calgary is unnecessarily aggressive, tampa still won. :D

Thanks for ruining my celebratory post, Meg! Anyway, I was there (Palace, not Pringle Dome). I screamed and honked my horn on the way home. About three blocks from the arena, I started getting wierd looks...

BTW, the party outside the Palace is nowhere near as close to the number of people on the Red Mile in Calgary. There were tens (dare I say hundreds?) of thousands of people there.

The Cup will be coming to Tampa tommorrow night and I refuse to even look at it until after the game. Go Bolts!
