Here is some information you were looking for:

Vincent was fortunate enough to see fireworks while at camp, but most other campers recall there being no fireworks on 4th July. Or, as LB206 reports, they were merely in the background.

I definitely was there for something and saw a fireworks display... but I think it was for the completion of the Saturn 5 mockup or something... not for the 4th. It may have coincided, though... I just don't remember.

I've been their on the 4th twice and we really didn'y do anything special to celebrate. At AC we were doing E and E that night and we had pizza afterwards but i think we would have had pizza after E and E whether it was the 4th or not. Atleast that was the impression i got from people who had been theior before who were on my team. The other year i was at ASA and our counselor and a counselor from another team let both teams order pizza that night just for fun they also gave all the ASA trainees watermellon that afternoon at the picnic tables that are along the path between pathfinder and the rocket park. So i dont see any real consistency of what goes on on the 4th i think its up to your counselors. But i enjoyed the 2 years i went over the 4th and they are some great memories to have of 4th of July's gone by.

Not much happened. We watch well sort of watched fireworks that someone probably the city of Huntsville put together and Nathalie read the last paragraph of The Declaration of Independence.

we got pizza (big surprise there) and watched finding nemo or the ball drop in nyc (depending on what you wanted to watch). we went to bed at like 11:10. though boost brought our team sparkling grape juice. our room stayed up till 1. we had fun!

i dont know if you guys have heard this wonderful new years story yet.. at xmas camp last year a bunch of my AC guys didnt really like being told to go to bed at like 11:30 or something so they went up to their rooms and refused to go to sleep and stuff. all of them apparently yelled some stuff to a counselor and said a few things that shouldnt have been said and so the next day we got yelled at by the people at AC ... it was awsome in a wierd way....

so...the fourth of july...
next year, i think they should take us to the von braun civic center park area and let us play with fire...(ha, now im thinking maybe theres a reason they don't do this...bwahaha!)...at least let us watch fireworks that aren't hidden by the hab. or let us climb up on the roof...lol.
