The Enterprise simulator was so cool. All of the interior areas including flight deck, mid deck, and space hab are full size. The cargo bay is a little shorter than the reak thing but the whole thing is awesome. Its s verry realistic interior setup complete with airlock. Ok sure the switches really dont do antything and the stuff in the windows is a recording but its still cool.

well, now that NASA"s moving to all-glass cockptis, it's not as realistic.

Of course, such an overhaul on Space Camp's part would not come cheap. Not at all...

Well endeavour and Discovery still have the old cockpits for the mment. They will be change to glaass cockpits soon too though. And they are remodeling Enterprise so i dont know what their doing to it. I'm actually glad to see the glass cockpit in use. It was developed at NASA Langley Research center here in my home town. And yahooooooo this is post 200!!!!

I hope to be the pilot for my EDM this year. Did anyone else find the shuttle and staion cold?

I never really noticed them being cold. Ussually the flight suit is more than enough to keep you warm anyway. And nothing is as cold as the rooms in the hab.

Thats true. And if for some reason you forget sweat pants and a sweat shirt or cant get an extra blanket you could always wear your flight suit to bed at night. It might not be the most comfortable thin in the world but it would keep you warm. Heck i use to do it at home just for fun to be like the astronauts.

Well of course when i was referring to Discovery and Endeavour i was referring to the real shuttles. As far as Enterprise goes i dont know when it will be done or if theyve even started it yet. And i dont know what the modifications are exactly.

I heard that they were remodelling the enterprise in fall of 2001. Since it's the only simulater ASA uses it must be done by now.

I believe the talk of remodeling the Enterprise is referring to the actual Enterprise...before it goes on display at the Air & Space Museum...

That is a possibility Vincent but i'm pretty sure i heard from my friend who was a counselor at camp last year that they were going to remodel the Enterprise sim at space camp.

A girl on my team said one of the counselors told her that the Enterprise sim was being remodelled. MOCR was supossed to be done to and they were doing it this past fall.
