Oh and to answer whoevers question, yes with your restricted license your insurance is through the roof. Mine is crazy expensive. It is 3000 a year...ha if it goes up, my mom will probably just set my car on fire. It would be cheaper than paying for the insurance.

Well just think if you were a guy it would be even higher. Atleast as a girl you are considered a lower risk than a guy your age.

Yes, but they don't cut you too much slack. Not enough anyway. Well I know some scary girl drivers as well as really scary guy drivers.

Well guys are automaticly assumed to be bad drivers due to statistics so thats one strike against us and then age is another. Atleast girls dont have the strike of being male just the age thing against them.

Well yes, that does stink for you guys (and by that I do mean guys for once). Its not that much better for us anyway. Mine is 800 every two months.

Well assuming i'm driving next year my insurance would automaticly go down because i'll be 25 and have a ckean driving record. Ofcourse since i'm not driving at the moment i dont have to pay any insurance.

If you have decent grades in high school, you are assumed to be more responsable and get a little break, but not much. Mine is more than $1,600 a year, but I don't remember exactly how much. If I do enough errands for work, the company pays for it.

Yeah i did use to get a student discount also but its still rediculous what they charge you.

True new cars will tend to cost you more. My car was an old clunker didnt have that problem.

I'll be getting a car soon. My team's coach is a car dealer, so I can get into the dealer auctions. My car may very well cost less than my new hockey stick. That is messed up.

That is messed up but boy wouldn't that be great. I know you can get some great deals at those auctions. Just make sure there aren't any dead bodies in the trunk or anything.

I just found you that they passed a new law and you can't drive anyone for six months now. I feel bad for my friends. Some of them got good deals on cars though and their parents usually split the cost 50/50 with them. Tip of the day: Car insurance is cheaper if you don't have an accident in the first 6 months you have your license.

I know Virginia was trying to pass a law like that but i don't know if it ever did pass. But it really doesn't affect me anyway.

Why oh why do I have such bad timing with my license? I was two weeks late for getting it before the law passed saying you could only have one other person under 21 in your car with you for the first 6 months.
