Well i was at the local space museum today like i normaly am on saturday and actually met a teacher who had gone to the Space Academy for educators program. Well we started talking and its intresting to learn some of the diffrences in that program and other programs. She told me the program concentrates on on planning a curiculum based on space stuff. She said thats what they did for the first 3 days of the program. She did say they got to do some of the simulators and spent some time at ac but she also said she wished she'd gone to the regular adult ptogram instead. She also said they only did one shuttle mission and it was on Endeavour. They also did some expirements on space shot. Just thought i'd post what i found out since noone here has really ever talked about the teacher programs before.

I think that was going on when I was at camp last summer. We had to use a different simulator because of it.

From what i learned from the teacher i talked to the teachers program has alot of diffrences from the regular programs. Mainly because it concentrates on helping the teachers create a space curiculum to use in there schools after camp.

I heard that too. But you still have to let the teachers have fun, too. They have to do missions, because after all, what would space camp be without missions?

I keep meaning to tell one of my teachers about it b/c he's always talking about how much he would have loved to go to space camp when he was younger. He might enjy the adult academy more though.

The terachers do one mission. And they do some of the other training equipment but most of the week concentrates on curiculum planning. The teacher i talked to said she wished shed gone to one of the regular adult programs instead.

Keep in kind the steak and eggs breakfast is only given to the adult advanced academy not the adult academy.
