Has anyone else gotten the e-mail with Columbia pics supposedly taken by an Israli satellite during re-entry?

I haven't seen the picture but i read about it earlier today. And NASa has responded to it an others saying they are not authentic and any pictures that are verified as being authentic will be released through the columbia accident investigation board website. So if you see something thats questionable id check there first.

That's a hoax/gag. They're movie stills from "Armaggedon." Check www.snopes.com or www.nasawatch.com for details...

Well i already gave my opinion on the conspiracy theory under the columbia topic. As for the other 2 links i saw nothing about faked pictures except for one of a sunset from orbuit suposedly taken by the crew of 107.

I didn't think they were real, they looked too fake. I just thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks for the info!

Well some of the pictures seem like verry obvious fakes, Mainly the one of the cracked wing because of the fact that i dont think that kind of angle would be available from any of the windows of the flight deck.

Well that too. Unfortunately there will always be some conspiracy theory whojust cant except the more obvious answers to something.
