Well i got the new 2003 space camp brochure today and i must say i was again dissapointed this year. The new brochure is again in black and white. The only camp pictures are on the inside cover and on the back. Whoever puts the brochure together obviously didnt pay too close attention because they still have pictures of the Florida and California training centers on the inside cover and the pictures of the flight suits are still of the light blue ones. Seems the only changes to the brochure from last year are the new program descriptions and dates for this year. I had much higher hopes considering space camp obviously seems to be doing better financially since they are putting in all the new equipment and making so many changes. Hopefully next years brochure will be better this one was a serious dissapointment.

Well, keep in mind that part of the reason they're doing better from a financial standpoint is through cost-cutting measures like having the brochure in B&W...
...so from that respect, I guess you have to go along with it...I mean, we all know what it looks like in full, glorious color!
And if they didn't change it back to color from last year's, they must obviously think it didn't have a negative impact on attendance...

Well even though they probably did it to save money and thats a good thing atleast they could update the few pictures they have in it.

Well, as I'm sure you know from seeing past brochures, they seem to only rotate their photos once every 10-15 years!

True but youd think with as few pictures as they have they could atleast have updated ones. I mean the space camp florida and space camp california dont exist anymore. And a new picture of the new flight suit would be nice.

Well, they don't actually point out that the photos are from Florida and California, do they?
...and if they don't, you wouldn't really know they're not in Alabama unless you've been there, and I really don't think that would cause someone to not want to go back!

Well i just found 2 space camp advertisements the other day. Our local newspaper had a quick blurb about parent child space camp mentioning it as a top family destination.
Then i was looking through Scouting Magazine published by the Boy Scouts of America and they had a small advertisement for space camp and aviation challenge in it.

Parade magazine included with Sunday newspapers across the country had a bit about Parent Child SC in a recent issue (LB this may be the one you're referring to)

I have people who tell me everything about things, too (hockey, space camp, online schools, airline specials...). Isn't that soooooooo annoying? And they mix up the facts and you have to rty to explain it to them. Arrrrgghhhhh!!!

Don't get me started on the teasing I take! My family is constantly giving me stuff. I must have a dozen copies of every National Geographic that even MENTIONS space. Sheesh!
We don't mind a bit, though, do we? As long as they're thinking about space!
