CNN Christmas's gone by

Post by Boomerang »

Tonight i was flipping through Channles and on CNN headline news they had a quick segment about Christmas events of the past. And they mentioned and talked abiut Christmas Eve 1968 and the flight of Apollo 8. They played the audio from the crew reading from Genesis as well as showing some video footage of the crew during their broadcast and pictures of the earth and moon taken by the crew. It was great to see someone remember that in the mainstream media.

It is great when someone mentions the space program. The media often overlook or pass up NASA events. As the reporter who went to Space Camp mentioned, it is sad that it took a disaster to get NASA back in the spotlight.
