I posted this in the news section when it broke

this, I think, would be quite sad if it actually ends up happening!

Thankfully, though, it would seem as if they forgot to talk to the russians before they decided to release this news, and, despite their best efforts, the russians don't particularly want to send him up. Of course, this could all change if the price is right, but I feel that someone more deserving should go.

...or maybe I just really don't like Lance Bass! :D

Ok i personnaly think that for one sending someone to space for money is wrong in the first place!! I am going to spend alot of time in school and working hard to make it to the space program along with alot of other people and i dont think that the general public is ready to go to space yet! Plus if we are going to send various people with money to space i dont think it should be a pop star! He might provide publicity but is it really the sort of publicity that we want??? Well these are just my opinions and if he goes up im sure i will get over it but i had to voice that to some one who knows enough about the space program to understand what i am saying!! :D

I do feel the somewhat the same but it's the Russians that are selling space flights. They need money so bad they'd do anything.

Remember Dennis Tito the guy who paid russia to go into space? To hear him tell about his tim in space is hilarious!! The russians have junk for spacecraft!!

Having met Norm Thaggard when he came back from mir he said the russian capsule is extremely cramped. Yout knees are practicly touching your chin and you have to use a reaching control to work any switches because you can move enough to reach them.

I personally would rather ride the shuttle although the soyuz has a verry good safety record overall. Its beenflying for over 30 years.

No more stupid than "astronaut" does. They both in fact mean pretty much the same thing.

Astronaut means "sailor among the stars" while Cosmonaut breaks down to "sailor of the universe."

Cosmonaut or Astronaut, it makes no difference, as their goals are one in the same.

We should all try to be a little more tolerant, no?

I really hope the story about Lance Bass from Nstink is just a rumor and nothing more which it appears to be although it might get alot of girls interested in the space program.
