Next year

Post by monkeynautt »

Who has registered for next year and if you have, when are you going?

I'm going to ASA July 5-11. I'd like to go to AC as well but I don't have enough money. I'm graduating from hight school this year so I want to buy a bunch of grad things - like a grad ring for one. Also I can't take of three weeks from work (when I get a job) to go to camp. I have to save up for university in the fall.

Well if it was just a problem of money youd probaby have enough or pretty close after graduation. What you do is send invitations to graduation to all family members and family friends wherever they live. Even if they cant come to the graduation they will probably send you money.

I haven't registered yet. Partly because Richasi isn't sure what week would be best for him, and partly because I think its just a bit too early. The adult sessions take a while to fill up and tend to run a bit short. I'll probably register sometime in Feb. like I did last year.

Plus, there's always the chance of them offering another discount around the holidays...wouldn't want to miss out on it...again! :D

ARGH! Don't remind me! I could've had $200 off...but on the bright side....I make about $300 a week, so for a 40 hour paid vacation (we get 10 days of paid vacation a year) to Camp, I make up 1/3 of the cost. Pretty good deal.

I'll let you know as soon as possible Kemara :)

My job just isn't taking vacation requests for that far ahead yet. And they're the type of employers who just don't give a [darn] what you have planned.

I had to practically beg to get them to give me the few days in January a couple of months back for my London/Paris trip so I could move forward on those plans.

I will inquire about 2003 vacations on Monday, but it is to soon I think... :)

I'm in no hurry. Unless they close their doors, I'm going back. I have too much stuff to do still...Area 51, Water Survival, Astrophotography. I was thinking about the adult weekend program. Some people do a weekend and a week back to back. That might be fun as the weekend doesn't use Enterprise. Anyway, don't push your boss, Ricky. That can be dangerous to your employment health.

Weekend of regular Adult Academy?!

Well, I'm going back whether or not they close their doors! They might not let me in, but I'll try anyway *grin*

I won't push my boss but it really makes me mad. I have to plan well in advance so I can get airline tickets and make other arrangements. I can't just do these things on the fly. I fly around a lot (at least this year) and it has needed extensive planing. Shoot, I'm already past 2003 and looking into 2004/2005 for places to go, people to see, things to do :)

*sigh* nothing better get in my way and ASA next year or I will be one unhappy camper (pun intended) =)
