I just wanna know for sure so if I have to sign up for the tour in addition to camp, I will have that in place already.

Same timeframe! I'm sure I'll see ya there, then! I've never been before, been dreaming about it for 30 years now!

Bus tour times on Saturday will be 11:00 and 2:00

Waiting for a call back on whether or not we can reserve a group.

I'm leaning towards the 2:00 time to allow those who are travelling enough time to arrive. What do you guys think?

I'm still ticked off because I was scheduled to go on a tour of Redstone when I was in the Army and I got picked for a TDY assignment somewhere else at the same and missed my chance. I worked with peiople from there all the time because I ran a large unit that worked on missiles (among all kinds of other stuff) and we were working on some upgrade issues with people at Redstone. I heard from the people who went that they got to go anywhere they wanted, and spent a lot of time walking and riding around the areas of this tour.

Looks a lot like the buses at Kennedy. I couldn't care less what they use, though, just as long as I can see stuff back there!

Still working on it Steve. Trying to reach a live person at the ticket desk by phone seems to be next to impossible. I'll try again this afternoon.

Ok guys here's the deal. I have purchased FIVE spots for the 2:00 tour on Saturday. So far, we have me, Wes, Benji and Steve from Hab1 as definates. Richard and Kale are still maybe's. Who wants ticket #5?

Cost is $32. Includes museam admission and a movie. You can pay me cash when we board the bus. I can either hold your ticket for you, or I can leave them at the ticket counter for you to pick up at your leisure. Let me know what you want to do.

*** Make sure you bring a valid drivers license and are a US Citizen or they won't let you on the bus ***

Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday!

Guys,

I am not going to be able to make it. We are still in the middle of figuring the housing situation out in Houston. So rather than go be with you guys this weekend, I gotta drag ass back to Houston.

However, if I have a chance, I might try to go by JSC. If I do, I'll post a report. I, of course, expect Hotdog will do the same for the tour this weekend.

I will try to make another trip this year, I really want to catch the bus tour. Maybe I can coordinate a second get together.

This just in: I no longer have reservations for the bus tour and museum! Everyone will have to get their own tickets for the 2:00 tour due to security reasons. Please show up early (I would recommend noon) to reserve your spot.

Good job Brian, I think Penny was tooting her horn a little... :-)

Glad you guys had fun. I think you are right, it would be nice to be able to stop at the rocket garden. An idea that JSC has right is that they are flexible with when you leave each bus stop, since the transit system runs on a regular schedule. If you want to stay longer, you just wait until the next ride.

Also seems odd they wouldn't swing by the test stands. Maybe these ideas might get picked up by the staff.
