No more adult week-long camp

Post by Kemara »

Just found out today that there will be no more week-long adult sessions after this year. So it's my team this week and then two more. I can't believe it's over!

I hope you're having a good time! It's great that you're able to go before it's over. I just went last week and it was a blast! :)

I'm having a great time! There are 17 people on my team, and it's a good mix of ages. No lake activites this time around, but we did spend a couple of hours in the Mach3 sims and we're going back tomorrow.

We're doing 4 one- hour missions. Delta mission is a DOD classified mission. They're going to video our EDM and we'll each get a DVD. plus, the counselors have cameras and we'll get a photo CD at graduation. So that's all cool!

The food has been great except for some nasty pizza the first night. The chocolate cake at dinner tonight was to die for. :)

I'll post more later. Glad to be getting in bed before 12 tonight.

Well, there go my plans to return for the 30th anniversary; it's too expensive to fly down for a long weekend. :( I know a several people will be disappointed by this news.

On a happier note, thank you for the update from camp. I am glad you are having a great time and cannot wait to hear more when you return, with photos. Really neat that you'll get an EDM video afterwards. Have fun!!

Glad you're enjoying it.
My roommate from adult ASA is there this week too, Reagan. I've been following her pictures on Facebook, wishing I was there.

I had thought about going back next year but I guess now I won't have that opportunity. :(
Maybe they'll bring a week long adult camp back sometime in the future.

Why no lake activities?

Are you sticking around for Salute To Shuttle on Friday?
