Alumni Camp
The word is in on Alumni Camp. It will be the weekend of July 18th-20th. It just so happens that it is the weekend of the Hall of Fame Induction and Apollo/Saturn V reunion. For the alumni schedule we will work in as much of the events as we can in addition to your activities. The registration code you will need for the website is ALM25. Right now there is only one team scheduled, so hurry to register! Hope to see you all here again this summer!

I wish I could go but I have field school this summer and won't be able to afford to go to camp because of it.

Jason recently told me about the date announcement for the Alumni Academy, and while I was planning to make a trip before the summer to see the new Davidson building, I think I might have to hit two birds with one stone. Guess I'll see you all in the summer, that is if I can get a reservation. Anyone know what the status is for number of slots vs. open slots?

As far as i can tell registration isnt even open yet. I went to the website to try several times including today but there is no adult alumni camp listed yet only 2 teacher camps that weekend. I know hen the message went out on myspace it said costs and registration details were coming but i am yet to see anything.

It's 499/449 and the schedule is up too. IMHumbleO I'm a bit disappointed in the projected schedule, doesn't look near as exciting as last year. I don't know as if I can make it anyway.

Alumni Camp
Looks like they weren't listening to the comments that we made last year at Alumni Camp. Two one hour missions again! Why do they think that alumni (many who were there multiple times) would be satisfied with a camp that was less challenging than a Parent/Child camp? I won't be going for one of these. Better to go to and Advanced Academy and call it an Alumni Camp and invite everyone from Hab1 to attend. It could be an underground Alumni Camp.

Well i;m still planning to go hope others will as well. I was going to go due to wanting to attend the hall of fame and apollo saturn reunion anyway and this way i can do so without having to pay for a hotel plus food is covered this way and more activities to do than i would get just by going as a tourist. Ok its not perfect guys but its something. And it is the same length and price as a regula adult weekend camp and it is Enterprise this time verses one of the other orbiters. And as i recall complains during the las camp ended up getting some things changed during the camp when we were there. I say if we can do it we should go. If the camp doesnt get enough support from alumni there may not be another one.

I wish that I could go to camp again this summer, but with hopefully moving soon and going back to school again I don't think it will happen financially.
I don't think the schedule looked all that fascinating to me either. They cut a day off of the schedule and it also costs $100 more than last year, maybe because of the dinners. But to me Space Camp is more than what is scheduled. It is just the idea of being in Huntsville surrounded by all the NASA history that excites me. It is working together as a team to succeed in missions. It is meeting new people from around the world and learning how to communicate with people that are different from you. I would return this summer if I thought I would be able to, but I need to save my money for a move (hopefully across the country).

Like a lot of you folks, I'm not sure I can finance another Alumni camp so soon. I am thinking of coming up that weekend for the dedication.
