New and Unoffical TRAINEE MADE Packing List (AC)

Post by Spyder »

This is basically for Aviation Challenge, because the packing list that goes out to all campers in the breifing kits are very generic and tailored more for Space Camp than Aviation Challenge. I started a new packing list, and with the help of Many other AC Alumni, namely Abby Rundle, David Cook, and myself Ashlee Weeks, we have put together a new and as for now Unofficial packing list that has worked flawlessly.Alumni andi seems fond of it. I'll post it on here, and please feel free to post things you think should be on there.

I never went to AC but I think bdu pants would be great. I have two pairs and they seem to last. I would even suggest them for Space Camp for all the odd the positions you can get in and allow you to carry many items with you.

I also suggest an extra blanket...because I for one, don't like making my bed every morning. I'll take the floor, thanks!

Well anyone who comes to AC this year will see we have alot of new female counselors training to work this year. Even if the female population of trainees is low.

I wanted to add a couple of items to this list based on training as a counselor and what happened to a couple of counselors. I have heard several say after escape and evasion that they wish they had been told to bring knee padsand for anyone who has knee problems to bring an athletic knee brace. We had one counselor hurt her knee prett badly on E and E and another with knee problems who said they wish they'd had a knee brace for the event. So thats just a couple of things i'd recomend.
