The price of Space Camp

Post by orion8 »

Well I was just playin with some figures and found the price of ASA in the summer to be about 11 cents per minute. That only includes tuition, not transportation, flight suit, etc. ASA is approximately 8790 minutes long (Summer six day) and at $999 USD that works out to about $.11 /min. Well I pay less than that for long distance :D I am definately not complaining! This happens to be about how much I make at my measly part-time job so every minute I work, I get a minute of ASA. Well, this is not really a fair comparison, since there are many other factors, but its fun to think about. Also, if I work for one minute, I could be paying for a minute of sleep in the hab, or a minute of SCUBA!! Guess you really can't put a price on Space Camp!!

They ran 20% off all camps on the 25th of May (for the 20th Anniversary celebration).

...Wouldn't surprise me if they do it more often...

True going for 2 weeks can get expensive without a discount. Hopefully they will offer another one.

When you go for two weeks you get 10% off and don't have to pay the inbetween overnight fees.
