Met at Camp then married!

I stumbled across
this website the other day.
While there's not much that's Space Camp related, there is the following excellent story, as well as a photo or two:
For those first timers to the Dobson Web site, our family of two humans and two cats was established on May 27, 1995 (nearly seven years!). But, the story doesn't start there. We met in April, 1988 (14 years ago?!?), at Space Academy Level I, in Huntsville, Alabama. We were in the same group (Morton Thiokol) and sat next to each other during our two shuttle missions (Mission Specialists 2 and 3: Payload Scientist and Weather and Tracking Officer). We were 16, in 10th grade, and decided we liked one another enough to start exchanging letters and phone calls. We dated long-distance (Tyler in Georgia, Heather in West Virginia) through high school and attended college (North Georgia College) together. The rest, as they say, is history.
Pretty cool stuff! I wonder how often something like this has occurred...

There's nothing wrong with that...some people just didn't get out of Space Camp exactly what we did...and while most enjoy their time there, it doesn't stick with everyone.
It happens.

Jason, tell your soulmate to undergoe hypnosis to bring back the space camp memories and then post them here!!

as much as i want to meet my soulmate i dont want to do it in camp cause itg would most likely mean that shes a space geek and math fanatics(me) and space geeks dont match never will they there would be too much argument no matter how much i will love her.

I wouldnt say that. My girlfriend and i are both space geeks. We do argue but that just because i'm always right but she always thinks she's right. But seriously we really do love eachother.

Just so you guys know, A LOT of people who met at Space Camp have gotten married. It's mainly people who worked there, I haven't heard of many camper-camper ones, but there are so many marriages between co-workers that there is an official Space Camp garter belt that is passed around and it was fashioned out of an old flight suit. There were 3 weddings while I was at camp and even more engagements announced. Who knew space was so romantic?

Wow i never realised how romantic space camp was either. What dates were you at space camp in 91? and at space academy level 3 in 93? just curious since i went to theose programs the smae years.

More youngsters
I still find it strange that Kemara and i were at Space Academy, Level I together and didn't know it... but it would be strange if this person was at Camp the same time too.
