Does any one know off

I was just sitting here wondering how many people here have heard of Otago University in Dunedin, New Zealand.
I bring it jump because we here in New Zealand have always thought Otago is a well known Uni but then I thought about it and thought how many people really know any thing about it

I know several people in Australia and New Zealand, so I have come to know the names of many of their universities. I could rattle off a bunch of Canadian university names and most of them would be unknown non-Canadians too.

And, with no intention on offending anyone, I think the Americans have a very different form of education than the Commonwealth countries. There is not as much competition between universities here like there is in the United States.

I have a friend in NZ and i've never heard of it... but for all i know she could go there.

Where in NZ is it located?

The Uni is in Dunedin New Zealand. I reason I do ask is because there are all these ads on Tv saying Otago is well known in the world of Unis but i'm just asking

I suppose i could have read your first post more throughly.

Anyway, i've never heard of it. The U.S. is mostly just concerned with its own universities though so it doesnt really surprise me.
