Yup... in the past few weeks I have totally been stricken... I really, really, really want to go, yet I can't seem to convince my parents...

For me, it's just a really strong feeling, mixed with flashing images of the place rolling thru my head... it's really nostalgic, and the thought that I might not be able to go this summer depresses me greatly... it's really sad. But hopefully I will be able to go... I just need to raise some money and stuff...

The only safe food are the few prepackaged things: the cookies, the uncrustables, and the crackers.

Oh yeah... that's another reason my parents are skeptical to send me this year: the food. I've started working out, and I've supposed to have adjusted my diet (though I haven't, hah)...

Eat the salads! They're actually fairly healthy!

I definitely miss it, especially as it gets closer to the time when I went last year. I'm bumming about the fact that I won't be going this year more than I expected I would.

I miss it alot all year round but especially when space camp anniversaries pop up. Got real space camp sick today when i found put one of the other educators at the museum had also been to space camp though much earlier than i in the late 80s.

Oh, how terrible space camp withdrawal is...

I am in the process of packing things up at home to move into my own place. When I come across anything from camp - flight suits, name tags, photographs, scrapbooks, clothing, glow-in-the-dark feet, postcards, etc. I get wistful about camp.

For some time I wondered why I was investing all my savings into a house when it could fund about 10 trips to Space Camp. Then I realised that moving out is bound to happen, and it's better to have a sizeable down payment that try to buy a house with only a handful of change in the bank.

Drats... so when my house is all paid off, my first thought will be to return to the wonderful US Space Camp. Give me another 15 years or so...

I just watched Apollo 13, and it was a huge trigger for Space Camp withdrawl... I seriously don't think I'll make it 2 more weeks... I have to go! Perhaps a roadtrip... haha.

This stuff is pretty strong, though... it's becoming hard already to accept this next session as my last... I just might have to sign up for Christmas camp before it's too late... but my family might not be too happy with that, seeing as it'll also be my first college Christmas break...

I'm seriously ready for a huge photography session photographing every single memorable object on the entire facility, though... it shall be awesome.

If only I had my Time For Courage DVD! I gave it to a guy who said he could rip it to a divx file, and he still hasn't done it! I really need to give that guy a call tomorrow.

I miss space camp every time I leave it but there is something really wierd where smells of different places smell like space camp.

I knew before I went the last time, I wasn't going to want to come home. When it came time to leave camp, I didn't want to go home. There were people I was REALLY missing, but I still didn't want to leave camp. Camp seemed more like home than my house does sometimes.

I love that camp so much that on the 24 hour edm I wanted to sleep out on a tether next to the satillite in the shuttle.

The tether the MS's use on their space walk? I didn't get to use the harness, I was on the Canada arm, but the harness looked like a lot of fun.

Hmm... See the tether might look like it was fun to sit in for extended periods of time but if you're out there long enough you lose the blood flow to your legs... Its really no picinic for your chest and shoulders either. Actually its just plain uncomfortable...
