Dan Brown Books

Post by Space Nerd »

I was just wondering if anybody has read any of Dan Browns four books:

Deception Point
Digital Fortress
Angels & Demons
The Da Vinci Code

I personally have read all four of them and enjoyed them very much. Deception point has a lot to do with NASA and is an awesome read if you're interested in the politics of our nations more secret agencys. All four are excellent books and I thought it would be interesting to see if any of you have read them so that being said have you?

All but Angels and Demons. But I'm working on it.

Deception point was pretty good, but a little cheesy. There were some things that were too out of whack in that one.

I agree. There were definitly some things that were just way to much effort. I didnt however enjoy it. Angels & Demons is awesome. It really does a good job of getting into the argument over religion vs. science! I hope you enjoy it though because it was the first Robert Langdon adventure if you liked The Da Vinci Code i'm pretty sure you'll like this one too!

I did read Deception Point after a friend recommended it to me and I honestly didn't think it was that bad. Granted I think people have gotten a little paranoid about government plotting and deception so the book was a little cheesy, but it's one of the few politically geared books I've ever read.

I read the DaVinci Code during my exchange trip to Spain. It was awesome everyone on the trip read it no joke. When our bus broke down there were 6 of us in a row on the side of the road all reading the same book. We passed it around until by the end all 25 of us had read it plus the 3 chaperones.

Thats an interesting idea and a good way to pass the time for broken busses. I dont think i've ever been on a bus with 25 people who had the mental capacity to read the book. hmm.....

My seventh grade year we went to St. Louis (~7 hours), my eighth grade year we went to D.C. (~10 hours) and then this summer my bus ride from Mexico City to San Louis Potosi was about 8 hours, which was probably the longest 8 hours of my life since I couldn't speak any English and was dead tired.

My 18 hour bus ride from litchfield to new orleans was probably the longest bus trip i've ever taken. Not to mention just 2 days later we had to turn around and do it again. At least i had my own seat for most of the ride.

Currently I've only read the Da Vinci Code . . .which was incredible! I couldn't put it down, well, I did, but very reluctantly. I have the three others sitting and waiting for me to read them. I'm currently trying to get through Les Miserables. I have a huge stack of books to read, but after I finish Les Miserables, the Dan Brown ones are first in line.
