Well, to be honest, it's a little annoying.

Words of advice, use flash all the time and do NOT use the digital improvement some photo developers provide as pixels will show up in darker areas of the photo. Back to the subject of this board, I love going back once in a while and looking at pictures I took.

That is good advice. The Training Centre Floor, as bright as it seems in person, if often not lit enough to capture bright pictures.

As for digital enhancement, it depends on whether your original pictures are digital or film, and who the developer is. I have never had a problem with the enhancement provided by my KODAK Professional photo lab. I always take my important pictures (like camp) to a professional lab. It costs more, but it's worth it!

I'd care to argue, Canada. Take a look. It's only a 2megapixel camera, so it's not that high quality, but the lighting turned out beautifuly.

Just make sure when you take a picture of the TCF it's not while you're in earth's shadow because it will be to dark for it to turn out really good.

I know the photos of the TCF from above turn out without flash, because a flash would never help when something is so far away.

<Good point Dan!>

For things like the simulators: 1/6th chair, MAT, 5DF, etc. Generally a flash is required to give enough light to the picture. But then again, it looks like most of the TCF has changed in the past 5 years, so I'll have to figure out how to take pictures in the AstroTrek bubble. :?

Mind you, I have two new cameras and my friend has a new digital. Thankfully we will have a day to experiment with photos before camp actually starts. Yes, they said we are allowed on the campus the day before camp until 20h30, far after the USSRC closes to the public. We can also show up heaps early (10h00) for registration and have even more time to roam around the campus before camp starts!

I will take thousands of pictures, don't you worry! I have to round up about 2 GB of memory cards for the digital and at least a dozen rolls of high quality film for my camera. 32 days...

I swear the whole night during our EDM there was no period of darkness. The light shined on our eyes the freaking whole time! Tony was like yeah yeah the light will go away, but the flight crew couldnt see it and we, the ground crew, could!

I slept in the airlock tunnel so there was a little window above me. The counsellor watching us even said that on dayside we would all start to move and were restless.
