Yeah no kidding. But i also thought of something else diffrent about camp during the time i was going there. Atleast the first 3 years anyway the cafeteria was diffrent. The serving area was not enclosed it was just a single counter along the wall. The food wasnt as good yes it has actually improved over the years believe it or not. And their were alot fewer choices. One thing i do remember diffrent in 96 though was a line over to one side of the main one that had alot of baked goods and fruit sort of a continental breakfast. It may be similar to the bakery section some people have referred to before but it didnt cost extra and it was better than the hot breakfast food. My team ate their alot in 96. Also in 96 the Ac people use to eat lunch at the AC compound in the ward room the building next to the volleyball courts. We always had hamburgers, hotdogs, or chicken sandwiches along with chips and soda and the normal stuff the food was alot better over their than it was at the space camp cafeteria. One thing i also remember doing only one year in 91 was the first night at camp we ate dinner outside on the picnic tables that are near the pathway leading between pathfinder and the rocket park. Had burgers and hotdogs that night the food was good and we had music playing but we never did it any of the other years i went.

Two years ago we had lunch outside but it was the 20th aniversary thing so there was something going on under pathfinder almost every time you left the building. It was cool!

haha...this summer, our group kept getting yelled at cause we were outside (come on, it was july) during the evening. there were apparently socials or something that had alcohol so we kept having to relocate. my counselor was sooooo unhappy. we finally went and played volleyball.

man i have no cool stories like that but i was at camp the year that Mercedes released their M class SUV thing...That was cool/different/weird. They had like 3 of those SUVs underneath Pathfinder and we weren't allowed to walk by it.

I never thought that Space Camp food was all that bad. Then again, I would have eaten just about anything while I was there and never known the difference! Anyway, in my July camp we took our lunches outside every once in a while to the picnic tables to enjoy the nice weather. Nobody cared too much beceuase we ate lunch either really early or really late compared to everyone else. Although the dairy products in the USA are a little different to what I am used to - made the Cheerios taste funny every morning. Then again, Americans think our dairy products are weird, so it works both ways depending on what you are used to I suppose.

Oh, and one year we ordered in pizza for our EDM - that was fun!

Well we ordered pizza foir our EDM too it was kind of nesecary since ours started before dinner and ended after the normal lights out time. As for the camp food i've had worse at opther summer camps but i've also had better at one as well.

In 98 we had pizza half way through the EDM. A couple nights earlier on the 4th of July we also ordered pizzas that we had after our last lecture that night. In 96 we also had pizza on the 4th of July following our Escape and evasion.

I think its pretty much the usual to have pizza for EDM's now in days. Although our EDM last year was situated in the middle of chicken finger day (which everybody knows is one of the only good foods camp serves) so we snuck out and got some chicken fingers for a mid EDM snack too lol. I love camp........oh the memories....

I dont remember ever having chicken fingers at camp. They sound better than some of the stuff i had over the years. The food has definately improved.

I don't know if you will or not. At Ac we had pizza on the 4th to kind of wrap up the week and sort of celebrate getting through Escape and Evasion. It was the last night of camp that year. At ASA our counselors on the bonbraun and Sheppard teams let us order pizza to celebrate the 4th of July since we didnmt have anything else to do.
