That is crazy old. I saw a tandy computer store once, but it closed down. On a side note, perhaps microsoft really does own us all.

Well the thing is stone age by modern standards but it was cool in its day.

Yes, it must have been cool especially if it was about the newest thing computer wise. People hadn't really thought about computers being small enough to fit into a room.....well maybe not that old but whatever.

Well i don't know if it was the newest but i doubt there was anything much better at the time.

But still, look at the computers we have today. In a few years, our kids will tell us that they are primitive and old.

Yes, we'll soon be old men (and women) yammering on to our grandkids about our 80 gigabyte, 256 ram, 2 gigahertz computers while they want to go play virtual reality (really-real reality) games on their 900 gigabyte, 30 gigahertz, brain-implant-controlled machines. How I dread that day...

I've used computers since before I can remember. Of course when your dad works for IBM it definitely helps. Unfortunately, his last day will be on Friday due to the fact that he's getting laid off. I think he might try and buy another computer with his employee discount this week though.

He might have found another job at SBC though. He'd take a pay cut, but considering tuition for me went up 60% for this next year it's a good thing.

I know what is the deal with tuition at private schools these days? Mine just keeps going up 5 or 10%. Now it is at 14,500 dollars a year!
