How do you carry your stuff?

My backpack doesn't have any patches on since I have to replace it about once a year. What can I say, I only carry about 35 pounds of books around with me a day (Seriously, I do I've weighed my backpack). But anyway, my room and locker make up for it.

Well since i got a new backpack this semnester i'd been looking for something to put on it. Then the columbia accident happened and i realised i had several NASA pins i could put on there. So i put a NASA vector pinb, a silver space shuttle pin, and later when i got it a Columbia comemorative pin on there. Eventually i want to put spomething more permanent but likely the bahg will need frequent replacement since as a college student i have some huge books to carry.

I don't have any canadian space patches at all. Have you ever thought about putting a canadian flag on your flight suit instead of the american flag?

I want to buy a new flight suit so it would be pointless to put one on. If I do buy a new one I would put a Canada patch on it. I might buy the jacket and would do the same thing.

Ok well in that case i'd wait too. I know if i was from a diffrent country other than the US id try to get a flag for that county for my flight suit just as a matter of pride.

I really want to get me one of the blue flight jackets. I have patches to put on there for missions similar to those i flew at space camp over the years. Unfortunately i dont have the 100 plus dollars to buy one.

No kidding! They are so expensive! My dad was considering getting me one over spring break until he saw the price.

Well the flight suits are cheaper but i think i would have less chance to wear the flight suit. atleast with the jacket it could be worn regularly.

I've been thinkg about getting the jacket since my first trip and this year I think I will get one. I just have to save up my money so I can get both. I love the royal blue flight suits. They look so much better than the light blue ones.

When did they switch? I know last year the light blue ones were for the people who didn't have flight suits and if you bought one it was royal blue.

I think the switch was last year. Although Space Camp is way behind NASA switched to the royal vlue flight suits in the late 80s following the challenger accident.

It was in 2002 because in 2001 I bought one and it was light blue.

this year they gave the people who didnt have one royal blue ones too, they were old counselor suits. and the only people that had light ones were the people who had bought them in years past.

On my team people who borrowed got light blue or royal blue. They were just given a size that would fit no matter what colour.

Well i'm glad to see that Space Camp finnaly caught up with NASA. Although the new flight suits have one disadvantage for guys. They dont have the double zipper in front which makes using the bathroom more difficult.

mine was big. and really annoying cuz it was so baggy. and a lot of the zippers didnt work

Well thats one advantage the astronauts have is they can have their flight suits tailored to fit them. Ofcourse the astronauts dont wear the fligjht suits on orbit anymore. And although they started wearing the dark blue flight suits on the ground in 88 it was 90 before they started wearing dark blue pants and shorts on orbit instead of the light blue ones.

I have the flight jacket and three flight suits. I never really find it necessary to wear the flight suits, but I love wearing my jacket. The last time I was there in March they weren't selling the jackets in the gift shop.
